Size & fit guide

Labels are a starting point. Measurements help you choose.

Sizes vary between brands and older garments. Compare with a similar item that fits you. All measurements in this guide are in centimetres (cm), taken flat without stretching the fabric.

SIRISETTE · MEASUREMENT GUIDE

How I measure each piece

I lay each piece flat, smooth it gently without stretching, and measure straight across in centimetres. Compare it with a similar garment you own that fits well.

Top showing bust width and length12
Tops and dresses

1. Bust: straight across between the underarms.

2. Length: from the highest shoulder point to the hem.

Trousers showing waist and inseam12
Trousers: waist and inseam

1. Waist: straight across the waistband, laid flat.

2. Inseam: from the crotch seam to the hem.

Trousers showing hip width1
Trousers and skirts: hip width

1. Hip width: straight across the hip area with the garment flat and fastened.

Measure at the same position on the garment you compare with. Ask for the distance from the waistband to the measuring point, especially for low-rise pieces. Double the width for an approximate circumference.

Jacket showing shoulder width and sleeve length12
Jackets and hoodies

1. Shoulder width: straight across from seam to seam.

2. Sleeve length: from the shoulder seam to the cuff.

Chest width and length are measured as shown for tops. Ask for additional measurements if there is no clear shoulder seam.

Trousers showing front rise and outseam12
Trousers: rise and length

1. Front rise: from the crotch seam intersection to the top of the waistband along the front seam.

2. Outseam: from the top of the waistband along the outer seam to the hem.

A shorter rise can create a lower fit. Compare with trousers you own: where the waistband sits also depends on your body and the cut.

Skirt showing waist width and length12
Skirts and mini skirts

1. Waist: straight across the waistband with the skirt flat.

2. Skirt length: from the top of the waistband to the hem. For an uneven hem, the shortest and longest lengths can be listed.

Compare the length with a skirt you own and consider where the waistband is intended to sit.

Measurements are taken flat, not as body measurements. To estimate circumference, double a flat width. Fabric and stretch also affect fit. Small measurement differences may occur.
